ANOTHER Fringe Show?
My producing partner, John Newstrom, was drawn dead last in the Fringe lottery this year. As a result, I agreed to produce his show idea, The Complete Works of William Shatner. I was already committed to writing the show and my idea was a pretty simple little improvisational structure I’ve wanted to do at the Fringe for a couple years.
It’s easy to produce and I figured that I could wait and produce it next year.
One thing about the Fringe, being drawn last doesn’t mean you won’t be able to produce a show.
Yesterday, a spot opened up and it was a perfect fit as far as the schedule and the space. John asked me if I wanted to do the show and I said “sure” under the assumption that there was no chance we’d be the first people responding.
Yeah. I was wrong.
So my friends, I’m doing another Fringe show! The Show is Stop Talking: A Game of Talking and it is based on the popular British game show “Just a Minute.”
It is an improvised game show and it is typically very funny. I’m working on lining up participants but so far I’ve confirmed the presence of Joseph Scrimshaw, Bill Stiteler, Sharon Stiteler, Kelvin Hatle, Courtney McLean, Jena Young, Bill Young, Jen Scott, Jerry Belich and more!
If you are a performer and you’ve always wanted to play, let me know! I probably have room!
The show dates are:
Sunday, 8/5 2:30 p.m.
Tuesday, 8/7 5:30 p.m.
Thursday, 8/9 7:00 p.m.
Friday, 8/10 4:00 p.m.
Sunday, 8/12 2:30 p.m.
Please, add us to your Fringe schedule! You won’t be disappointed!
