CONvergence 2012 Highlights
There were a few low points at CONvergence 2012 but they aren’t even worth mentioning. Most of them had to do with last minute planning failures and my complete inability to sleep past 7:30, even when I went to sleep at 5:00 A.M.
So forget that stuff, here’s some of my best moments from CONvergence 2012 (more or less in chronological order):
First Episode of Geeks Without God is live
We had a great time recording four episodes of Geeks Without God this weekend. We recorded an episode with Melissa Kaercher about Prometheus, an episode with Kammy Lyon about SkepchickCon at the convention, an episode with Rebecca Watson of Skepchick.org and an episode with Stephanie Zvan and Jason Thiebault of FreethoughtBlogs! We were really excited to get time with all of them.
Our first episode went live this morning so hey, head over there and have a listen to all of us try to talk about the religious themes in Prometheus. It’s hard because there are so many other things to complain about….
New stuff with the funny and the jokes!
There is a whole ton of new stuff at the Vilification Tennis website and, as things work out sometimes, I wrote a lot of it.
So, if you’d like to read a silly piece about The Supreme Court decision, you can do that!
I also wrote a Movie Dick article about Brave.
And there is a new podcast up and available for your listening pleasure!
As if all of that wasn’t enough, we have a video of the CONvergence 2011 grudge match between Brian Keene and C. Robert Cargill!

I’ve been reviewing my CONvergence schedule for 2012 and while I have not quite achieved Melissa Kaercher levels of insanity, I will be participating in 15 different panels and events.
Holy shit.

Geeks without God Logo
So we asked our good friend Melissa Kaercher to help us with a logo for the “Geeks Without God” podcast and because she is awesome, she came up with this:
Melissa is also going to be one of our special guests on our inaugural podcast, being recorded at CONvergence, Saturday the 7th of July at 9:30 in the morning. Atrium 3. We’ll be talking about the religious themes in Prometheus.
Making with the Comedy and the Jokes
Another Monday and more new funny stuff over at the Vilification Tennis website!
The seventh episode of our podcast is up and I think it is one of our best so far. At least we had fun recording it.
I also have a new Movie Dick article up about Prometheus. It is all satirical and stuff.
And hey, this Friday is Vaudevilification Tennis at the Bryant Lake Bowl. It’s going to be all sorts of funny so please go.

Monday morning means that my peeps at Vilification Tennis have posted new content! In addition to all the funny stuff my colleagues have submitted, I have two new comedy things to check out.
First is a new Movie Dick article about the MTV Movie Awards.
AND, we did a bonus Podcast this week! Joseph Scrimshaw came to the basement studio and spent the majority of our 70 minutes vigorously defending Axl Rose. We talked about other stuff but you will be amazed at how much time we spent on Axl Rose.
