Geeks Without God Episode 7
If I’m posting about a new Geeks Without God podcast, it must be Monday! Episode 7 is a Geeky Boner* episode. We talk about Mars Curiosity, Running with Zombies and other geeky stuff, including “Atheist Voices of Minnesota.”
If I can make a personal comment about this week’s episode (of course I can – it’s my blog), I feel pretty good about how the three of us are coming together for our guest-free podcasts. It’s a learning experience to share hosting duties but we’re figuring it out. So hooray – go team Geeks Without God!
*Geeky Boner is how we refer to our latest geeky obsessions. This is all thanks to the fact Molly always talks about how she gets big old geeky boners for stuff.
A Couple nice Blog entries about Geeks Without God!
By the time we were recording our fourth episode at CONvergence, I feel like the three of us were starting to figure out how to do our jobs. It has been over a month and we have finally posted that episode (which ended up being our sixth). I’m pretty happy with the way it turned out and so, it would seem, were our two guests.
Both Stephanie Zvan and Jason Thibeault have blogged about being on the podcast and while I really appreciate the signal boost, I am more appreciative that they enjoyed the experience and want to share it with others.
So hey – back at both of them! Stephanie’s blog is Almost Diamonds and Jason’s is Lousy Canuck. They are both over at FreethoughtBlogs and you should read what they have to say.
A new Episode of Geeks Without God is up!
The final episode recorded at CONvergence 2012 is live! We talked to Stephanie Zvan and Jason Thibeault from FreethoughtBlogs about the Ancient Alien debate that took place at the convention. It was a lot of fun to record. Because Stephanie is local, we’ll have to get her back on the podcast soon. Jason is a Canadian so it might take a while to get him back.
Unless we figure out how to record a podcast using Skype. That’d take all sorts of work and stuff so we probably don’t want to do that right away…
New Episode of Geeks Without God is LIVE!
This week’s podcast is just the three hosts talking about our latest geeky obsessions and answering a few condescending questions about atheism. This is only our second “just the three of us” podcast and I think we started to get the format down for that type of podcast.
So go over and have a listen. Of course, you now also have the option to listen on iTunes!
New Geeks Without God Episode!
We were fortunate that Rebecca Watson made time for us to interview her at CONvergence. Rebecca is a polarizing figure in skeptical circles and that is too bad because whether you agree with her on most issues or not, she is funny and smart. If you actually make the effort to engage her instead of attacking her, you will find good conversations to be had.
Fortunately, we were able to record one of those.
She talks about misogyny on the internet all the time and frankly, that is really important. We offered her the opportunity to talk about other stuff, though, because we figured she could use a break. The result was a fun geeky podcast.
So take a listen if you would! Learn about a great podcast that Rebecca does as well as her favorite sandwich!
Someone Decided to do us a Favor!
Hey, over at Geeks Without God, a local graphic designer decided that she wanted to share some ideas for a logo design with us! They are all pretty cool. Here are her four favorites. Which one do you like the best?

Molly on the Booth Babe Issue
Molly wrote a great article over at Geeks Without God about Joe Peacock’s objection to booth babes.
Speaking as a ranter myself, I’m a big fan of Molly’s ranty style. Go read!
Two new podcasts for you!
Tuesday morning means a new Geeks Without God is live! This week, we talked about the religious affiliation of Batman as well as other superheroes. It’s our first podcast without a guest so we turned the spotlight on ourselves and I had to answer our five questions. I do my best to explain the Alphabetical Movie Project.
Also up this week, a TC Theater podcast about The Complete Works of William Shatner (abridged). Josh interviewed Bill and I about the show and I would like to think we sound somewhat intelligent about the whole thing!
Geeks Without God Episode 2!
Hey everyone! Episode 2 of Geeks Without God went live this morning! Recorded in front of a live audience at CONvergence, we talked to Kammy Lyon of Skepchick.org about SkepchickCon and coming out as an atheist.
It’s only 30 minutes long! Go listen!
